36th Annual SLIFT Forum
Sunday, February 3rd thru Tuesday, February 5th, 2008, at the
Hotel Valencia Riverwalk, San Antonio, TX

As shown in the attached Program, this year’s general session will address a wide variety of issues that are of interest to all oil and gas state tax professionals or which serve to provide a better understanding of current challenges facing the industry.  As usual, we will certify the Forum for CLE and CPE credits.  Based upon past experience, we expect that this year’s Forum will qualify for approximately 13 hours of credits.

The registration fee for attendees from API Member Companies is $500, and $575 to other industry companies that are non-API members. In addition to the usual materials and outlines, all registrants will receive at the Forum a copy of the 2008 RAR Manual. This fee also covers all receptions, lunches and Monday dinner. Spouses/Guests may register for $100 (to cover all receptions, lunches and Monday dinner).  You may register one of three ways for the Forum:

If you are paying by check, make it payable to API and please allow at least two weeks for your check to reach our office through the banking process.  - Complete the enclosed registration form By Fax - Complete the enclosed registration form with payment information and fax it to 202-682-8049.

Please note that a block of rooms has been reserved at the Valencia Riverwalk at the preferential rate of  $199.00 (single/double occupancy) per night, plus applicable occupancy tax (currently 16.75%) to all API attendees.   For reservations, please call the Valencia Riverwalkat 210-227-9700, or at 1-866-842-0100, and identify yourselves as attending the “2008 API SLIFT Forum” to receive the group rate.  Reservations must be made by January 9, 2008 in order to secure a space.  Reservations after that date will be accepted on a space available basis. 

Please note that we have changed the format for this year’s Forum.  The Forum will adjourn at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday; therefore you should not schedule your return flight before Tuesday evening.  The agenda for the Forum includes several interesting and informative topics.  Only your participation will assure another successful Forum.
