Amy Kriz, CPA serves as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She oversees the day-to-day management of API’s finance operations to ensure a sound financial structure and safeguard the assets of the organization. Amy leads a dedicated, professional team in the areas of financial and accounting management, planning and analysis, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and business decision support.
Amy is a dedicated leader in the area of accounting and financial strategy with over 20 years experience helping social services organizations, associations, and other nonprofit entities navigate complex financial landscapes. Her strategic leadership skills span a wide variety of accounting and financial management areas, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, assurance services and consulting.
In addition to her professional work, Amy is an active advisor and mentor in the accounting community. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Greater Washington Society of CPA’s (GWSCPA). She also serves on the GWSCPA Nonprofit Financial Accountability Task Force.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from George Mason University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Decision Science Management Information Systems from George Mason University, and Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University. Additionally, she is a licensed CPA.
