Rolf Hanson
Rolf Hanson serves as API’s vice president for State Government Relations, leading strategy for state legislative and regulatory policy and overseeing API’s regional field offices.
Hanson joined API in 1999, serving as the associate director for API’s Minnesota/Wisconsin field office. In his 25 years at API, Hanson has also served as executive director in the Iowa/Nebraska and Pennsylvania offices. Most recently, Hanson was senior director of State Government Relations starting in 2011.
Prior to joining API, Hanson served as manager of environmental policy for the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, representing a diverse array of industries and businesses navigating environmental regulations and taxes. Hanson previously served as Committee Administrator for the Environment & Natural Resources Committee in the Minnesota State Senate, managing the committee’s hearings and legislative slate.
Hanson holds a degree in Political Science/Public Relations from Hamline University.
